NOVICA, in association with National Geographic, works together with talented artisan designers around the world to produce stunning, keepsake treasures. Our mantra is to spread global happiness, so rest assured - we’ll do everything we possibly can to ensure you’re a happy customer. About this item: Quiet features are thoughtful, and he pauses before speaking. Choosing the right moment, the right words, the right tone, this personage mediates when an offense has been committed. Daniel Nyadedzor carves a mask from Ghana's Akan people. He names it Wonti, which means "for your sake." About our Artist: 'After completing a course in auto mechanics, getting a job was difficult and neither my parents nor I could afford the high cost of the machinery I would need to set up on my own. I struggled by doing menial jobs, but I managed to save what I could until I had enough money to buy a small piece of land and raise a wooden store. I started buying finished carvings, and in the evenings I learned to carve these beautiful items. My inspiration comes through dreams, so when I wake up I immediately put the design on paper in order not to lose the idea.'
