NOVICA, in association with National Geographic, works together with talented artisan designers around the world to produce stunning, keepsake treasures. Our mantra is to spread global happiness, so rest assured - we’ll do everything we possibly can to ensure you’re a happy customer. About this item: The Akan saying, kai de bi, encourages to take a pause and remember the good things in life. Literally meaning, "Remember someday," kai de bi also invites reflection on the coming future. Wilson Aboagye carves a magnificent sese wood mask to personify the traditional Akan saying. About our Artist: 'I became interested in Ghanaian African carvings when I was a child, so after middle school I learned the trade through a man named Mr. Akoffour,' recalls Wilson Aboagye. 'Now I have my own workshop and am training three people. I carve different types of masks and each of them has a meaning. My products are unique and my target is to create more.'
