Very cool hand crafted clove boxes from tropical Bali. These lovely containers are great for holding your small goodies or simply sitting on a counter and looking great. They are made from fragrant cloves and cinnamon sticks woven together. Our size is larger than most and measures approximately 3.5”w x 3.5”d x 3”h. Clove grows in the northern mountainous areas and is harvested sometime around July when the climate is dry. Unfortunately due to unsuitable wet weather conditions over the last few years there have been poor crops of clove. Compounded by the Covid crisis the practice of making clove boxes is becoming a fading art. These particular boxes are crafted in a small remote mountain village by Wayan and his family. They make great gifts for yourself, friends and family. The clove aroma alone will be a welcome wholesome touch to any room. (this aroma will last forever it seems)
